

HERBERT JAMES FREEMAN was born May 14, 1941 in Raleigh, North Carolina. He learned in life from his parents, the late Annie L. Freeman and the late Hurley L. Freeman, Sr., the values of honesty, caring, sharing, and love, which he retained throughout his lifetime.
HERBERT was preceded in death by his brother, Hurley Lee Freeman, Jr.; sisters, Pearline Freeman Williams and Delores Freeman Moore.
HERBERT joined First Congregational Church in Raleigh, NC at an early age and remained a faithful member until he relocated to Las Vegas, NV and joined Zion United Methodist Church. He received his early education at the school of LOVE, furthering his education at the school of JOY, and graduated Magna Cum Laude with honors on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 from the University of PEACE. On the day of his graduation Herbert was inducted into the highest Honor Society of HEAVEN.
HERBERT is survived by four sisters: Lucille Freeman Hines, Edith Freeman McDougal (James), and Carolyn Freeman Johnson, all of Raleigh, NC; Doris Freeman McKoy, Holly Springs, NC; two brothers, Douglas Arthur Freeman (Wanda), Wake Forest, NC; and Donald Ralph Freeman, (Jessie), Raleigh, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his sisters and brothers, Herbert was blessed to have very close friends in his life, namely, Inez Dean; Jackie Hoggard; and care giver, Elgin Prince, all of Las Vegas, NV.
