My sincere condolences to the moody family in the home going of Deacon, Herman Moody truly a great man of God. Deacon Moody was a long time member of Pentecostal temple church of god in Christ, serving on the deacon board and president of the senior choir for many years. The Webb family will always cherish the legacy of this great man when my father Deacon, Ranzo Webb was kidnapped, it wasn’t until Deacon Moody got involved with metro that they actually took my family serious. He knew my father and his character. This wonderful man and his companion magnolia. Moody has truly left a great legacy in the city and the church world of Las Vegas Nevada rest well, Deacon, Herman Moody Elder Ray Webb and family.

Sending our deepest condolences the Moody Family for the loss of their Beloved Father, Grandfather, Friend, Companion. Mr. Moody is and will always be dear to our hearts and my family and I have been Blessed to have know him and  his beautiful family, since I was a child. His family is considered  an extension of our family, The( (Williams) as my grandparents home was right next door. I’m truly humbled and grateful for all the time spent visiting, talking and memorable moments my family and I shared with Mr. Moody we will truly cherish him and his Great Legacy. He is and will always be a true Stellar leader, Family Man, with Great wisdom and knowledge, companionate and a Great example to all! He lived an admirable and well lived life. I’m praying God be well pleased with him, his faithful Servant. May you rest in God’s Perfect Peace! Keeping all of the family in my constant prayers and thoughts.

My sincere condolences to the Moody family. Deacon Moody was a dear friend of my dad William Prentiss.  I recall when I was a little girl, Brother Moody was a Police Officer when my parents had a squabble Officer Moody would come by and calm the situation down.  May dad loved Deacon Moody.  He was a very nice caring man. May God gives you all peace. The Lord allowed Deacon Moody 98 years.  What a blessing.

Family,
When I consider the transition of “Uncle”, my Great Uncle, I am honored to be a part of the Moody lineage. My grandmother, Susie Moody Parker, his sister unconditionally loved her only brother.  There were few moments that passed whereby she didn’t speak highly of Uncle.  Furthermore, there were even fewer times when my mother, Audrey, didn’t share childhood stories  about  her only maternal uncle. He was a man of great accomplishment, valor, legacy and stature, speaking with authority, compassion and sensitivity. 

He will be missed yet he has been welcomed home by all of the family that has gone before us. What a family reunion in heaven. ❤️

In the words of Maya Angelou, "A great soul serves everyone all the time. A great soul never dies. It brings us together again and again". Herman Moody was a "Great Soul" and he touched the lives of so many in our community. His loss is immeasurable, and his memory will never pass away.

I remember the times sitting down with Jackie Brantley listening to beautiful stories of her uncle Herman Moody.  He was like a father to her giving parental advice and love.  Jackie would bake him sweet potato pies that always brought a smile to his face.  I never met Mr. Moody personally, but feel I've known him for years, and honor him for the long term service he gave to the city of Las Vegas. 
May you rest in peace as you join your loved ones🙏 


Those angels are going to have to be on point....   I hope they saw how you loved and cherish your father.  You took good care of him here.  They are going to have a tough act to follow.   I have been  there.  06/19/1980.... I know  he will always be there when you need him.   Just listen...

I would like to say I am so proud and grateful to have  come from such a great family lineage my grandmother (Audrey Wesley) was his niece, and man did she love making him some chicken and dumplings.

Mr. Herman Moody was not only a mentor but role model to many youth who resided on the Westside. I considered him a public safety colleague due to my serving with the City fire department. His demeanor was one to learn from as a much younger black man. It’s been a couple of years since I paid him a visit yet I will never forget his wise counsel. The Washington’s extend their heartfelt condolences and pray that God will be pleased with his work here on earth.🙏🏾❤️🙏🏾

I will never forget his smile. My sympathy to the entire family. His legacy lives on. 

Herman Moody was an honorable man and he was my friend. I also served on the LVPD. Our paths crossed often, after the Police Dept, while working construction, even as far away as Tonopah.  Our condolences to his family and friends.
