James Andrew Clark

James Andrew Akles Clark aka Sur-V the King, was born on January 11, 1971 in Portland, Oregon to Ms. Vera Akles, who preceded him in death. Sur-V would spend some of his childhood in Africa. As a teen he moved back to Portland where he would have two beautiful daughters named Shyra Soffine Clark and Jamellia Soffine Clark.

Sur-V later relocated to Hawaii where he would meet the love of his life and later marry Aretha Peppers, his Chyna Dol. They would have a baby girl and name her Chyna’V Sofyne Akles Clark. Sur-V moved to Las Vegas where he would then birth a son Andrew Survece Akles.

Sur-V was one of the most blessed and fortunate men ever to live. He would be one in a billion to win a million dollars at Keno.

After raising his kids and watching them grow into beautiful adults, he would then become a truck driver and travel across the country. It is on Sunday, November 26, 2023 that Sur-V would leave us all to…..go dance with his mother again.

He leaves to mourn: his wife Aretha Peppers; his 3 daughters Shyra Clark, Jemellia Clark, and Chyna’V Clark; his only son Andrew Akles; his granddaughter Haelo Taylor; his 2 grandsons Prince Akles and Dash Akles; 1 grandchild on the way; 2 sisters Loretta Johnson and Ronda Akles; 1 brother Chaco Akles; a village of family and friends; and a special friend and loved one Phouman Hatsady.

A visitation for James will be held Saturday, December 9, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Palm Cheyenne Mortuary, 7400 West Cheyenne Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89129. A funeral service will occur Saturday, December 9, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, 7400 West Cheyenne Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89129. A reception will occur Saturday, December 9, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, 7400 West Cheyenne Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89129.
