

John was a “gracious gentleman” who loved family, friends, fishing, baseball, — especially the New York Yankees — The Western Cowboy, and his beloved dog, Chloe.
John served as a captain in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, moving to Las Vegas in 1973 where he became a well respected attorney. He was a long time AV rated attorney. This prestigious rating is only obtained by experienced lawyers who have demonstrated both a high degree of skill and high ethical standards over their career.
John is survived by his loving wife Dolly Kelepecz-Momot; brother, Joe; his sister, Lucille Momot Tagie; daughter, Roxanne Morales; and grandchildren Stella and Jagger. His son, Joseph, died in January 2016.
A visitation for John will be held Sunday, April 29, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Palm Downtown Mortuary, 1325 North Main St, Las Vegas, NV 89101. A Remembrance of life will occur that evening from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM with a reception immediately following at The Keep Memory Alive Event Center, 888 W Bonneville Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89106. A funeral mass will occur Monday, April 30, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Las Vegas Roman Catholic Church, 3050 Alta Dr, Las Vegas, NV 89107.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in John's name to The Wounded Warrier Project.
