John "Jack" Stankard

A Celebration of Life will be held at 7:00pm Saturday October 29th, 2022, at the Ventano Restaurant in Henderson, Nv.

Burial will be at a later date at the National Veterans Cemetary at Fort Snelling, Minneapolis, Mn

Jack was born in Detroit, Michigan to Raymond Stankard and Velma (Ball) Stankard on July 29th, 1929. He went to school at the Boston Trade School. Married Mary Pettee in 1953 in Boston Ma. He worked as a draftsman and engineering consultant for Mr. Donut and International Multifoods. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Austria. He enjoyed writing, painting, teaching Tai Chi and taking classes at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Jack is preceded in death by his father Raymond Stankard and mother Velma Stankard; Wife Mary Stankard; Companion Eileen Baron and Companion Arlene Cohen who passed thirteen days after Jack.

Jack is survived by son Jeffrey Stankard and wife Karen, daughter Christina Aldrich and husband Scott. Howard Baron and wife Bonni Baron; Steven Baron and wife Aliza Baron Grandchildren Zoe Baron, Alayna Baram and husband Matt Baram, Noah Baron, Shira Baron, Mitchell Cohen and wife Debra, Robert Cohen, Helena Lanie Cohen
