

Joseph Madden passed away on February 9, 2016, from congestive heart failure at Valley Hospital in Las Vegas, NV surrounded by his family. He was born on April 13, 1932 to Elmer and Lucy Madden in Le Sueur, MN, where he attended elementary school. When he was 9 the family moved to St. Paul, MN., where he graduated from Wilson H.S. Joe enlisted in the United Sates Air Force. He proudly served from 1951 until he retired in 1971 from Mather AFB in Sacramento, CA. Joe then went to work as a civilian at McClellan AFB for the Department of Defense until 1999. In 1953 Joe married Ranko Suzuki and they had three daughters, Kathleen, Christine and Monica. In 1990 Joe and Dolores Williams married and happily shared the last 25 years of their life. He loved to fish, swim and travel. Joe will be most remembered for his bright blue eyes and his approachable, kind and cheerful spirit. He loved his family and will be missed beyond measure. He is preceded in death by his parent, Elmer and Lucy Madden, his infant brother Thomas and his brother Terrance. Joe leaves behind, his beloved wife Dolores, three daughters; Kathy (Carl) Trubschenck, Chris (Mark) Rappleye and Monica Blick; step daughter, Tanya Black; brother, Jim (Joan) Madden; grandchildren, Rachel, Tyson, Jenna, Dean, Michael and Alex; great grandchildren, Chace, Dylan and Mia. Services at Palm Mortuary Downtown are as follows: Feb. 25, 2016, visitation from 3:00-7:00pm, Funeral service Friday Feb. 26, 2016 at 10:00am with burial to follow at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, NV.
