She was born July 23, 1946 in Reno, Nevada to June and Herb Horch.
Juneen was proud to be a lifelong native of Nevada. Her family moved from Reno to Las Vegas in 1956. Her high school years were spent back in Northern Nevada when her father was transferred to Minden, Nevada. Juneen was a proud graduate of Douglas County High School, class of 1964.
She attended UNR for a short time and then moved back to Las Vegas where she started her career in banking. She first began at Bank of Nevada then moved to Nevada State Bank to start her career in the trust department and then to Wells Fargo Trust until her retirement in 2013.
Juneen loved spending many vacations with family and friends at Zepher Point at Lake Tahoe. She cared greatly for her beautiful feral cats that adopted her and happily resided in her back yard.
Juneen had wonderful friends in her life. Many she met at work, many were neighbors, and many from several neighborhood hangouts where she was known for her laughter and love of video poker! She will be missed by everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her sisters, Gail Taylor and Lynn Hoover. Nephew, Patrick Taylor (Laura), niece, Shannon Layne (Mike), and all of her special great nephews. In addition, close family cousins Doug Cooley and family and many dear cousins in California.
A celebration of her life will be held after the holidays.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.palmsouthjones.com for the Horch family.
