

Keith W. Wald, 87, of Las Vegas, passed away September 13, 2014 at the Veterans Hospital. He was born March 19, 1927 to William Byron Wald and Leah Senecal in Beloit, Wisconsin. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy at the age of 15, and served two years; and then re-enlisted in the U.S. Army and served an additional 21 years until he retired. He married the love of his life, Joyce, December 31, 1949. After his service he taught photo journalism at Marquette University in Milwaukee for many years until he retired a second time. Keith and Joyce lived many places throughout the country until she passed in July of 2012. Keith relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada in 2012 to be with his daughter and granddaughter. Keith loved spending time with his family and enjoyed outdoor activities from: camping, hunting, fishing, traveling, and photography. Keith was preceded in death by his parents William and Leah; seven brothers and sisters; and his wife of 62 years, Joyce. He is survived by his children: Keith W. Wald Jr., Sandra Joyce Wald and her life partner Diane, and Sue A. Brooks; two granddaughters: Ann Makowski and Rose Brooks; and three great-grandsons. Keith will make his final road trip back home for services scheduled at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Norway Lutheran Church located at 6321 Heg Park Road, Wind Lake, Wisconsin.
