

Many things can be said about Linda Sue Wood. Known to friends and acquaintances as a friendly, energetic, empathic and decisive woman, her compassionate nature would always shine through, revealing her charm, warmth and conscientious demeanor. Her parents were Sue and Don Iles. Linda was raised in Northwood, Ohio. Linda grew up with two siblings. She had two older brothers, Jim and Don. Linda graduated from Northwood High School in 1980. She did well in school and genuinely enjoyed telling stories in a way that drew people to her. Linda’s quality of being a caring and tolerant person who was very accepting of others translated to being a good mother to her children. Linda shared these values with her Two children, A daughter Kaleigh, and a son Johnie. Linda was also blessed with One grandchild, Zoey. Linda related well to children of all ages and was able to connect to them on their level. The children always loved her and she was completely and totally devoted to them. Linda passed away on September 19, 2012 at At home in Las Vegas, Nevada. Fought cancer for 15 years. 5 diagnoses, losing hair four times, and many treatments. Later she passed. She is survived by her husband, Johnie; her children Kaleigh and Johnie; her granddaughter, Zoey. Services were held at Desert Spring United Methodist Church. Linda was laid to rest in Palm Northwest Cemetery in Las Vegas, Nevada. Everyone whose lives she touched will dearly remember Linda Sue Wood.
