Michael Edward Parry passed away unexpectedly on March 5, 2014 at the age of 63. He was born April 16, 1950, in Cedar City, Utah, to the late Edward Corry Parry and Bonnie (Parry) Murdock. He moved to Las Vegas at the age of two, eventually graduating from Vocational Technical Center and serving in the Army National Guard. He was married to his childhood sweetheart, Barbara Ann Gillins, on June 17, 1972, in the St. George, Utah, Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Mike was a hard worker who loved his family above all else. His greatest joys were his wife, four children and three grandchildren, and he had a special relationship with each. he joined the City of North Las Vegas fire Department as a Firefighter in 1972, and served honorably within the department for 37 years before retiring as an Assistant Chief. After retirement he was finally able to enjoy sharing his hobbies of fly-fishing, hunting, golfing, drag racing and working on his hot rod with his family and friends. He was an example of diligence and integrity in all that he did and those who were priveleged to spend time with him will miss his smile (with mustache), sense of humor and a strong handshake. There was never any doubt that he had a strong testimony of the Gospel, that he meant everything he said and that he would stand behind his word. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Edward and his brother in law, Dan Huntsman. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Barbara Ann Parry, his mother and step-father, Bonnie and Gerry Murdock; sister, Brenda (Mike) Van Natta; sons Brandon (Maren) an Brett (Lauren) Perry; daughters Nicole and Lindsey Parry; grandchildren: Fischer, Sage and Cache Parry and his hot rod.
