

Patrick Richard Hayden was born January 28, 1954, in Ontario, Oregon, to Don and Mary Eldine Hayden. He was raised in Las Vegas and graduated from Western High School in 1972. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Southern Utah State College in 1976 and went on to earn his Master’s Degree (MBA) from the University of Nevada Las Vegas in 1978. He joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in 1976 and was married to his wife, Vickie, on August 19, 1977 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Pat worked for the Clark County School District for 34 years and retired in 2011. He started his career as a teacher and coach and then went on to be an administrator and lastly a principal. Pat was known to his colleagues and students as a compassionate and caring man. Pat was inducted to the Southern Nevada High School Football Coaches Hall of Fame in 2011.
Pat had a great love for the outdoors and enjoyed being at his cabin in the mountains, going on ATV rides with his wife, wood working in his shop, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Vickie (nee: Weight) and three sons, Daniel (Kiana) Hayden, Dustin (Miranda) Hayden and Daryn (Krista) Hayden; four grandchildren, Haylee, Jackson, Eli Patrick and Lily; parents, Don and Mary Eldine Hayden; and one sister, Dawn Hayden.
