Survived by her husband Sean of 25 years, their daughter Avery 22, and twin sons Erick and Trevor 18. Also survived by her mother Anna Hays and father Jamie Hays. Penny also had two nieces, Courtney and Chloe, and a nephew Aidan.
Penny was born April 26th, 1969 in Dardanelle, Arkansas. Penny was a military daughter so she moved a lot from Arkansas to Memphis to Baltimore and finally settling in Columbus, Ohio where she graduated from Beechcroft HS in 1987. Penny attended the University of Arkansas before transferring to Ohio State where she got her bachelors degree.
In Penny’s youth she was an avid competitive diver. After college she worked various jobs including management at the COSI museum (Center of Science & Industry) which was one of her favorites.
Penny married her husband in 1997 and in 1999 they moved to Las Vegas. She was committed and devoted to her family, husband, and friends. Penny was very active in the community whether it was school, Girl Scouts, Cheer, Baseball, or charity she was always involved and volunteering.
Penny loved to travel and share those experiences with her family and friends. She constantly placed others ahead of herself and seemed to have a focused mission of being kind and making people smile. In her absence the sadness is softened by the shining light she was to so many and the love she brought to everyone she met.
