Your departure has sadly left avoid in my heart. I remember meeting you many years ago when I was a little kid I remember you always being really kind to me and my mom. I always remember going to work with my mom at the Polo club on the weekends and you stopping in after work and  playing pool with me and always trying to convince me to play soccer. Throughout the years you remained a true and loyal friend thank you so much for your constant support when I graduated from San Diego State University and from Navy bootcamp and you telling me that you were proud of me. Your laughter and humor  always put a smile on my face and your excitement on wanting  to hear my sea stories were always a trip. Thank you for always being there for my mom Aurora and especially for supporting her and holding her down when I went on my first deployment that is something that I’ll never forget. I know that we had made plans for my birthday this coming September to go to a  raiders game but I promise you that I will still make that happen and I know that you will be there with us in spirit. The next time I go out to sea I will look for you in the sky and I know that you’ll be there watching over me. Until I see you again my old friend rest in peace. My deepest condolences to your daughters and your family and friends.

My sweet Raul, 
I will forever be so very Thankful and blessed for our last phone conversation on Monday March 25, 2024 and to receive your usual very early good morning text message the following morning, but sadly on the day you departed from us. I look at your message constantly and my heart is in pieces. I only wish I would’ve said so much more on my response. I truly Thank God for our beautiful 20+ years of  friendship to which I will hold deep in what’s left of my heart. You will always be one of my sweetest blessings in life. For this I know my life will never be the same without you. I will miss you so very much but your love and memories will be with me forever and always. Rest in peace my beautiful Angel. My sincere deepest condolences to your beautiful daughters, your parents and your entire family.

The news completely shocked me.  Sadly, slowly coming to grips with the reality of your passing friend.  You always provided laughs and bright smiles coming into my office throughout the years when I had the pleasure of you being my “carpet guy” lol.  I’ve always enjoyed your conversation at friends’ gatherings and looked forward to your banter!
