Raul Gutierrez-Chavez

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Raul Gutierrez-Chavez, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Raul was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, and moved to the United States as a young child. He touched the lives of everyone who knew him with his natural humor, protective nature, and unwavering strength of character.

A passionate family man, Raul’s love and devotion to his family were unmatched. He was a steady presence, always ready with a joke to lighten the mood and a strong will to guide those around him. His ability to protect and care for those he loved was evident in everything he did.

Raul had a love for the great outdoors. He spent countless hours fishing and camping, often at his favorite spot, Lake McClure in California, where he created lasting memories with family and friends. His adventurous spirit extended to ATV rides and jet ski adventures, where his enthusiasm and laughter were infectious. Raul also enjoyed range and target shooting, embracing the precision and discipline that came with the sport.

Professionally, Raul worked as a Mechanical Engineer in HVAC, a field where his dedication and expertise made him an invaluable asset at Red Rock Casino Resort and Spa. He approached his work with the same passion and commitment he showed in his personal life.

Raul’s passing leaves a profound emptiness in the hearts of his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Connie Gutierrez; children, Raul Gutierrez, Jr. (Ivonne), Brianna Gutierrez, Elianna Gutierrez, and Julianna Gutierrez; grandchildren, Zoe Gutierrez, Ian Gutierrez, and Cruz Granados; parents, Francisco and Raquel Gutierrez; siblings, Rosa Gutierrez, Lucy Gutierrez, Francisco Gutierrez, Jr. (Lupe), and Edwardo Gutierrez (Leticia), all of whom will miss his laughter, wisdom, and boundless love.

A visitation for Raul will be held Monday, March 3, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Palm Mortuary - Northwest, 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131. A funeral service will occur Monday, March 3, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131. A committal service will occur Monday, March 3, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Palm Northwest Mortuary & Cemetery, 6701 N Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131.
