

Ray V. Zobrist, 83, went home to be with his wife of 47 years, Marilyn Zobrist on Oct. 13, 2010. He was born Sept. 27, 1927,in Salt Lake City, and was a 55-year resident of Nevada. Ray served in the U.S. Army during World War II and owned his own family business. He served an LDS full-time mission in Holland and served in the Las Vegas LDS Temple. Ray is survived by his wife, LaDonna Zobrist; sons, Howard (Cheryl) Zobrist of Sandy, Utah, Alan (R.) Zobrist and David (LuAnne) Zobrist, all of Las Vegas; daughters, Peggy (David) Walker of Las Vegas, Susan (Dallin) Johnson of Woodland Hills, Utah, Lorilyn (Mark) Milford of Las Vegas, and Terri Rae (Bryan) DeMille of St. George, Utah; stepson, Rodney (Kathi) Cole of Running Springs, Calif.; stepdaughter, Jolynne (Steve) Sanchez of Henderson; brother, Reed Zobrist of Las Vegas; best friend, Al Noorda of Las Vegas; 34 grandchildren; and 39 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 17, at Palm Mortuary, 6701 N. Jones Blvd. Services at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 18, at the LDS Ward, 5750 N. Cimmaron Road (at Ann Road). Graveside services will follow at Bunkers Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road (at Tenaya). Arrangements under the direction of Palm Summerlin-Funeral Home, Las Vegas, NV.
