Richard T. Pappas, age 79, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born on June 30, 1937 in Boston Mass, but has been a resident of Las Vegas for several years. After graduating from Northeastern University in 1963, he joined an insurance company and worked as an Insurance Broker until 1996. He also worked at Boston Gardens for over 35 years. He married Martha Mecham on September 14, 1963, and together they had two children, Virginia (Sturgess) (Jim) Storfer of Las Vegas, and Thomas Pappas of New York City. He is survived by his wife, Marti; daughter, Virginia (Sturgess) and son-in-law Jim Storfer; son, Thomas Pappas; sister, Liane Mondello of Florida; and his beloved grandchildren, Griffin C. Sturgess and Alexa J. Sturgess. He is also survived by many cousins and Bingo friends. He will be dearly missed by all.
