Richard C. Priest, 84, of Las Vegas, passed away Feb. 2, 2012. He was a retired educator and long-time middle school principal. He was honored by having Richard C. Priest Elementary School named after him. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy. He was preceded in death by his sweet young bride, Pearl; and his sister, Joan Barclay. He is survived by his sons, Richard and Frederick Priest; and his daughter, Peggy Young. He had nine grandchildren, Ryan and Jeramy Young, Brysyn, Juna, Madison, and Morgan Priest, Jenna Fox, Julie Jackson, and Sheri Ann Shelton. Richard's hobbies included hunting, fishing, gardening, genealogy, traveling, and reading. He is a former member of The National Association of Secondary School Principals, Kiwanis Club, Southwest Rotary, The American Legion, and the Elks. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at Palm Mortuary, 6701 N. Jones Blvd. Graveside services will follow at Palm Memorial Park - Northwest. Richard Priest was a loving fath
