Robert Earl “Louis” Cleveland Sr., 68, a resident of California and Nevada, passed away May 13, 2015. He was born July 5, 1946, to Elizabeth Cooper and Archie Cleveland, in Tallulah, La. His greatest accomplishments include being a former officer with the Los Angeles Police Department, a U.S. Marine and a proud owner of Cleveland Carpentry, based in Los Angeles, for 34 years. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; his grandmother, Mary; and sisters, Marguerite Thomas and Sherrill Cooper. He leaves behind his four wonderful children, Robert Cleveland, Roderick Cleveland, Reginald Cleveland and Anessia Cleveland; five brothers, Martin Cooper (Tasha), Barry Cooper, Alonzo Bryant (Kyoko), Dewayne Cooper and Larry Cooper; two sisters, Laura Cooper and Ruth Cleveland-Washington; many nieces, nephews, cousins, several grandchildren; one special brother-in-law, George Thompson; best friends, Norwood Cortez and M.L. Clark; and especially those other many friends that were like family, including a complete second family in the Gardner family of LA Roofing.
