Robert Ernst, 80, passed away June 21, 2014. Bob was born in New York to Meyer and Anna Ernst. He grew up in Rockaway Beach and attended the Hebrew Institute of Long Island. He loved the beach, the boardwalk and fishing. Bob served in the Army during the Korean War as a medic ambulance driver. Bob was married to Joyce Post for 57 “wonderful years”. Moving to Las Vegas in 1993 was the best part of a good life. Here he enjoyed family, especially Gary and Michelle, new friends and watching his Granddaughter Cheryl grow up. Bob had a great love of fishing and took many people along to enjoy the experience. He is preceded in death by his sister, Barbara “Cookie” and his brother Herbert. Bob also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at Southern Nevada Veterans Cemetery in Boulder City on Thursday June, 26 at 8:00 a.m. followed by a celebration of Bob at the home of Gary and Michelle Ernst.
