Robert Bob Carl Head

TSGT. ROBERT HEAD U.S. Air Force, Retired Robert Carl Head, 74, of Las Vegas, passed away June 20, 2010. He was born Dec. 12, 1935, in Albany, Calif., and was a 35-year resident of Nevada. Bob retired as technical sergeant from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years and served during the Vietnam era. He also worked for the Nevada Division of Welfare for 10 years. He loved photography, reading and travel. Above all, he loved his wife, of 54 years, Eva Maria, who he met and married in the Azores Islands, and his family. His wife and family adored him in return. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Beulah Head. He is survived by his wife, Eva Maria Head; daughters, Eva Stowers, Ellen Rhinebolt and Amy Montoya; grandchildren, Nicole, Angela, Kimberlee, Jacob and Robert; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Charlotte, Daniel, Gabriela, Ruby and Ijessity; and sisters, Dorothy Knode, Dolores Lantz and Diane Alvarado. Viewing will be 2-7 p.m. Thursday, June 24, at Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., Las Vegas. Funeral services will be at 10:40 a.m. Friday, June 25, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society .
