Born in October 1942 in Sandusky, Ohio, Robyn was the daughter of LaVahn & Andy Conyer. She was raised by her mother, LaVahn, father, Andy, grandmother, Mary Ward, and her beloved grandfather Simeon Ward. Even as a young child, she was spirited, bright, and strong-willed—a force of nature from an early age.
Throughout her lifetime, Robyn excelled in a diverse array of roles and pursuits, each undertaken with unwavering dedication and purpose. She fulfilled the roles of wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, matriarch, and friend. Robyn possessed a remarkable talent for cultivating meaningful connections with those she encountered, maintaining enduring relationships throughout her life. Her deep affection for animals was widely known, and she often humorously remarked that, upon her passing, she intended to cross over the symbolic "Rainbow Bridge." Robyn was a staunch advocate for equality, social justice, and a dedicated champion of animal and civil rights.
She is survived by her children, Sean David Griffiths (Walker) of Atlanta, Georgia and Stacy Martello (whom she lovingly called Melissa) (Robert) of Las Vegas. She is also survived by three grandchildren: Amanda Rivas (Arthur) of Katy, Texas and their daughter Frances; Robert Martello (Nadia) of Las Vegas and his son Connor and their son Hudson of Las Vegas; Rachele Shuppert (Brendan) and their children Saylor, Ignatius and Cashius; and Codena Meding (Aric) and their son Mavaric of Las Vegas. She is also survived by her only sister, Debbie Radwan (Talat) and nieces and nephews Jason Radwan (Dina), Josh Radwan (Delique), and Natasha Radwan (Farooq) of California. She was preceded in death by her parents LaVahn & Andy Conyer, grandmother Mary Ward, her beloved grandfather Simeon Ward, and her former mother-in-law, Cleo Goodman. She was also proceded in death by her dear friend Phyllis Davis of Maui, HI, and other cherished loved ones (including many pets).
A celebration of Robyn’s life will be held later in the year; potentially in October 2025.
