Roslyn Marie Charlot Sampson

Roslyn Marie Charlot Sampson was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on September 9, 1950 to the late Henry Rudolph Charlot, Sr. and Catherine La Beauve Charlot. She was baptized at an early age at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Las Vegas Nevada. She attended St. Phillip Elementary School Xavier Preparatory High School; and later received her Masters degree in Special Education at UNLV in 2007. Roslyn met and later married the love of her life Terre Lynn Sampson, Sr. in 1979. She instantly became the mother of Kimberly and later had a son, Terre Lynn Sampson, Jr. who was the joy of their lives. Roslyn Sampson was a very determined strong minded and successful woman who excelled in every aspect of her life. While living in the bay area, she was employed at Union Bank, Xerox, APL, Alameda County, and Fred Finch Youth Center. She later moved to Las Vegas where she became a Real Estate agent and partner at VIP Properties, and a well-loved Special Education Teacher at Fertitta Middle School. Roslyn passed away on September 25, 2014. Roslyn was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Catherine Charlot; sister, Carol Charlot; grandson, Lamar Sampson; nephew, Mohammed Charlot and in-laws, Asa and Gertrude Sampson. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Terre L. Sampson, Sr.; daughter, Kimberly Sampson; son,Terre L. Sampson, Jr.; grandchildren, De Andre Sampson, Sr., Jazmine Miles, and Marcus Sampson; great-grandchildren, DeAndre, Jr. and Keiyana Sampson; brothers, Robert (Joyce) Butler, and Henry (Kim) Charlot; sisters, Gizelle Perry and Helene Riney; in-laws, Toni Sampson, and Winifred Bondarant; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends, too numerous to mention.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd from 3-7pm and the funeral service will be Friday, October 3rd at 11:00am. Both services will be at Palm South Jones Mortuary, 1600 S Jones Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89146. Arrangements under the direction of Palm South Jones Mortuary, Las Vegas, NV.
