“God saw her getting tired, a cure was not to be. He wrapped her in his loving arms and whispered ‘Come with me.’ She suffered much in silence, her spirit did not bend. She faced her pain with courage, until the very end. She tried so hard to stay with us but her fight was not in vain, God took her to His loving home and freed her from the pain.” On Friday, November 14, 2014, Sally LuDean Clements Clark returned home to our Heavenly Father. She leaves behind her husband of 57 years, Richard (Dick) Clark, two daughters, Charlene Paul (Ken), Susan Leavitt (Jonathan), two sons, Kenny Clark (Sheryl), and Richard Clark. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, brother, LaVelle Clements (Clara), brother-in-law Scott Sabey (Opal), sisters-in-law Audery Clements (Ken), Viola Clements (Ron), and Darlene Pace (LaMar). Sally was born December 21, 1938 in American Fork, Utah to Erick LeRoy and Emma Love Culmer Clements. She was raised by her mother and step-father George Pace, and she was the youngest of 13 children and step-children. Shortly after graduating from American Fork High School in 1957, she married Dick Clark and they began their life-long journey that took them from Cedar City, Utah to Logan, Utah, on to Denver, Colorado, and in 1963, they made Las Vegas, Nevada their home. Sally was a homemaker, a master quilter, banana bread specialist, and a genuine friend who had a tremendous loyalty and love for her family. Her beautiful smile and infectious sense of humor will be remembered by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her twin sister Sue LuAnn, father Erick, mother Emma, step-father George, brothers Murdin, Ken, Ron, LaMar, and sister Opal. It’s lonesome here without you, we miss you so each day. Our lives just aren’t the same ever since you went away. When days are sad and lonely, and everything goes wrong We hear you gently whisper, ‘Cheer up and carry on.’ Each time we see your picture, you seem to smile and say, ‘Don’t cry, I’m in God’s keeping, we’ll meet again someday.’ Funeral services will be Saturday, November 22, 2014 at noon in the Lindell LDS Chapel located at 2245 Lindell, Las Vegas, Nevada. Visitation will be from 10:30 AM – 11:45 AM.
