Sergio Bolanos Ventura
October 7, 1968 - April 2, 2024
Sergio passed away in the early morning of April 2 at 1:37 am at UMC Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was surrounded by his family.
He is survived by his wife, Lilibeth, his son, Sergio Jr., and his daughter, Shelby.
Sergio Bolanos Ventura was born in El Salvador to Isabel Bolanos and Gilberto Ventura. He resided in his home country for roughly 18 years before moving to Los Angeles, California. Here Sergio met his wife Lilibeth and they were married on May 8th 1994.
Sergio had a special love for Food and Cooking. His favorite foods were: Italian food, Hibachi, and Potatoes Au Gratin. The latter being one of his favorite dishes to prepare for Thanksgiving dinner. It brought him great joy to know that he could put a smile on people’s faces when he cooked for them. Sergio began his lifelong career in the culinary field with Michael’s Restaurant in Santa Monica, California. He worked in all types of kitchens until he finished his career at Las Ventanas Assisted living in Las Vegas. He was a very hard working man, who hardly ever complained.
A fan of sports, Sergio would be sporting his classic San Francisco 49ers apparel during football season. And during Baseball season, he would be wearing his Anaheim Angels jacket. However, Sergio simply enjoyed all sports. You could catch him watching a range of sports such as golf, tennis, and even figure skating.
As something of an athlete himself, a young Sergio was very active on the soccer field. But he did not stop at Soccer. He also participated in marathons, and bowling tournaments. What a pro!
Sergio also loved to travel, having been fond of nature all his life. His favorite trips were those that involved the open road, trees, rock formations and camping. Being one for adventure, Sergio was always looking forward to the next family excursion. That being said, he would never turn down a vacation full of relaxation, beautiful scenery, great food, and ice cold drinks.
Being a man who was very involved with his family, whatever he could do to support his wife and kids he would do it in a heartbeat. He never failed to make sure that his family was fed and taken care of.
Sergio will be greatly missed. . .
