Shelia Ann Cannon

Shelia Ann Cannon, born on January 18, 1958, in Big Springs, Texas, passed away on August 12, 2024, in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was a devout member of Canyon Ridge Christian Church, where she found great solace and community.

Shelia spent 38 years at Nevada Federal Credit Union, which is now known as One Nevada Credit Union, before retiring in March 2022 as the Director of Consumer Lending. Her dedication to her career was matched by her faithfulness to the Lord and her family. She was a loving, selfless, kind, empathetic, gentle, and patient soul, always putting others before herself.

Her hobbies included shopping on QVC, working on various crafts, gardening, and attending church worship. Shelia cherished her time spent with friends and family, which was a testament to her loving and giving nature.

She is survived by her husband, Leroy Cannon; children, Keyon Cannon (Tanisha Barnes), Brittany Cannon, and Jordan Cannon; and grandchildren, Zavier Cannon, Essenyse Barnes, Elijah Barnes, Izayah Barnes, Ny’JearCannon, Jayden Amir Hall, and Jayah Nicole Hall. She also leaves behind her mother, Dorothy Mapp; siblings, Joe Lynn Young, Tony Mapp, Toya Mapp, Carl Boysaw, Rickey Boysaw, Kenya Boysaw, and LaSandra Conley, along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Services will be held at Palm Mortuary Northwest, located at 6701 North Jones Blvd., Las Vegas, Nevada, 89131. The Mortuary is assisting the family during this difficult time. Shelia’s life and legacy will be celebrated and remembered by all who knew her.
