

Stanley “Stan” Lawrence Reynolds, age 71, of Las Vegas, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, March 7, 2015 in Las Vegas. Born August 20, 1943 in Bronx, New York he lived in St. Louis and California before moving to Las Vegas in 2001. Mr. Reynolds served as a paratrooper in the US Army. He was a detective with the St. Louis Police Department for ten years before becoming a Special Agent for the US Secret Service from 1976-2001. In Stan’s 24 year career with the Secret Service he served in field offices in Chicago, Las Vegas, Honolulu, Los Angeles and Ford Protection Division in Rancho Mirage. He traveled around the world for his assignments which included Presidential Protection, protection of World Heads of State and International Leaders and in criminal investigations. Stan received many awards and accolades during his career. He was a member of the Association of Former Agents, US Secret Service. In retirement, Stan loved entertaining family and friends, traveling for pleasure, daily workouts at the gym and hiking most of Red Rock Canyon. He was preceded in death by his parents, John N. Reynolds and Norah V. (nee Jones) Reynolds and brothers: John N. Reynolds and Charles W. Reynolds, Sr. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Patricia Ann (nee Gebken) Reynolds; his daughters, Kelly Ann (John) Berg and Amy Marie (Shannon) Reynolds Otteman, son Sean Patrick (Kelli) Reynolds; his beloved grandsons Kyle and Zachary Berg and Evan Reynolds; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. A memorial mass will be held at 10am, Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at St. Francis Assisi Catholic Church, 4556 Telegraph Road, St. Louis, Missouri. Private inurnment, Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Stan’s name may be made to the charity of your choice.
