March 2, 1959 – July 5, 2025
Stephen Daniel Vadon passed away on July 5, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of strength, love, laughter, and loyalty. Born on March 2, 1959, in Hamilton Square, New Jersey, to Bert and Angela Mary Vadon, Steve lived a life filled with passion, purpose, and deep devotion to the people and things he loved most.
To know Steve was to know someone with a strong will and a big heart. A devoted brother, uncle, fiancé, and friend, he was endlessly giving, fiercely supportive, and always ready with a joke to lighten any moment. His warmth could fill a room, and his sense of humor brought joy to everyone lucky enough to cross his path.
Steve built a remarkable career as a licensed commercial electrician, working for over 35 years at Public Service Electric and Gas Company. As a proud and dedicated member of the IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers) for more than three decades, Steve took immense pride in his work and in supporting his fellow union members.
Outside of work, Steve lived life fully and enthusiastically. A lifelong fan of Philadelphia sports, Steve bled Eagles green and Flyers orange. In recent years, he added the Vegas Golden Knights to his hockey heart, but his love for the game never wavered. Whether he was cheering from the couch or in the stands, Steve’s passion for the game was always electric.
He loved the outdoors—spending time hunting deer in the woods of New Jersey or casting lines from charter boats on deep sea fishing trips while on vacation. He had a special green thumb for growing rose bushes that stopped neighbors in their tracks with their color and beauty. But above all, Steve’s greatest joys were his dogs, Shelby and Carmen, who were his constant and beloved companions.
Steve is preceded in passing by his parents, Stephen Bert and Angela Mary Vadon.
He is survived by his loving fiancée, Victoria Thibault; his cherished sisters Stephanie (Ralph) Meatto of Houston, TX; Susan (Ed) Riley and Toni Ann (Wayne) DeAngelo, both of Hamilton Place, NJ; as well as many adoring nieces, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and many cousins and friends back in New Jersey
A celebration of Steve’s life will be held at a later date. Details will be shared with loved ones when arrangements are made.
Though Steve may no longer be here with us, his spirit lives on in every laugh shared, every game watched, every rose blooming in the sun. He taught us to love fiercely, joke often, and never miss a chance to root for the home team.
Fly high, Steve. Rest easy, and Fly Eagles, Fly!!
