U.S. Air Force, Retired Steven G. Schenck, 62, of Las Vegas, passed away Aug. 19, 2012. He was born June 6, 1950, in New York, N.Y., and was a five-year resident of Nevada. Steven retired from the U.S. Air Force and served during the Vietnam, Persian Gulf 1 and 2, Kosovo, Bosnia wars. Steven is survived by his wife, Joanne Schenck; sons, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Schenck of Honolulu, and Andrew Schenck of Plano, Texas; daughter, Michelle Schenck of Las Vegas; mother, Ida Schenck of Tucson, Ariz.; sister, Linda Allison of Tucson; brothers, John Schenck of Patterson, N.J., and David (Patricia) Schenck of Wurtsboro, N.Y.; and sister, Barbara Schenck of Yonkers, N.Y. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24. Visitation again 9-10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, with services following, both at Palm Mortuary, 6701 N. Jones Blvd. Graveside services following, at Palm Memorial Park - Northwest. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society .
