Tyson Larry McEntire passed away suddenly from a heart attack on February 16, 2022, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
He was born on March 3, 1978, to Larry Emil McEntire and Susan Kay Bolton McEntire in Mesa, Arizona. He was their third child and only son.
The family moved to Lake Havasu City, Arizona when Tyson was one year old and he spent his entire childhood there. He was involved in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts of America and earned the rank of Eagle. He developed his love for guitar and skateboarding there and graduated from Lake Havasu City High School in 1996.
He married in 1997 and settled with his young family in Las Vegas where Tyson started his career in the cable technology field as a splicer for Prime Cable. He had his first daughter Hollie in 1998. Tyson was fortunate to hire on with Cox Communications in October 2000 where he worked for 21 years. His second child Lacie was born in 2001, and in 2003, Ivie Rose completed the family.
Tyson loved his daughters and was involved in all aspects of their lives, from school and homework to dance class and music lessons. He was so proud of each of them and shared their accomplishments with others often.
He was an accomplished musician and played in several bands, and he even made his own songs and music. He loved Punk Rock and classical music, and he spent much of his time reading fantasy and history novels and comic books. He had many interests, including: Star Wars, creating amazing Halloween costumes, visiting museums, watching baseball and the Las Vegas Golden Knights hockey games, golfing with his family and friends, exploring and hiking, and spending time at the beach. He could always be recognized by one of his many pairs of Vans shoes.
Tyson was loved by all who knew him. He was smart, funny, kind and always willing to help anyone who had a need. He hooked trailers to his truck or drove across town to help family and friends whenever they called. He was a wonderful son and helped his parents regularly, as he lived only a block away.
He is survived by his three wonderful daughters, Hollie McEntire, Lacie McEntire, and Ivie McEntire; his parents, Larry and Susan McEntire; his sisters, Julie (Jerry) Porter and Polly (Paul) Monsen; and his many nieces and nephews.
