

Verna Mae Juniel was born April 12, 1939, in Fordyce, Arkansas, to Arthur McCool and Mable Sue Brantley. Both whom proceeded her in death. She was one of four children.
Verna graduated from Dallas County Training School in 1957. She moved from San Francisco to Las Vegas, NV in 1962. In 1962 she also married her husband Gerald Juniel Sr, and they remained mar¬ried until his death in 1997.
Verna was employed at Centel as a Telephone Operator, for 30 plus years. Verna was a member of the IBEW Union in Las Vegas, NV.
Verna accepted Christ at an early age. She was a devoted member of Grace Immanuel Baptist Church, under the Pastoral leadership of Pastor Willie C. Wheaton. She was also a member of the Fordyce Club of Las Vegas, NV.
Proceeding Verna in death; her husband Gerald Juniel Sr., and her three sisters Dolores Wilborn, Lenora Williams-Whitfield, and El-mira Williams. She leaves to cherish her memory, her two sons Ge-rald Juniel Jr.(LaDean), and Jason Juniel both of Las Vegas, NV, to whom she gave years of wisdom, guidance and most of all her love. Due to the love and God-Fearing motivation she bestowed upon her sons, they became without a non disputable doubt, the most loving, obedient, disciplined, and respectful sons to everyone that knows them. Three Grandsons whom she cherished dearly, Jaimen Williams of Henderson, NV, and Jordan and Justin Juniel of North Carolina.
Verna served as a Mother/Grandmother to the entire Eagles Family, after the passing of their mother. She also shared special friendships with Sammy Sampson, Kay Price, Georgia Harris, and Shawanna Washington.
Verna leaves a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many special friends that she truly loved.
