

Wayne spent his first nine years in Jasper, Alabama. His family then moved to Michigan, where he later went to Michigan Technological University where he earned his Civil Engineer degree. After working for the Boeing Company on the Lunar Rover projects for ten years in Huntsville Alabama, he moved to Southern California where he worked for the City of Covina for 28 years as Public Works Director/City Engineer.
Wayne was always learning and studying, and he became a Certified Professional Civil Engineer and also earned his MBA. After he left Covina in 1998 he worked for the City of Las Vegas as Land Development Manager. He retired in 2010.
His favorite pastime was traveling and cruising with his wife, Diana. He was challenged to solve any and all puzzles, including the daily New York Times Crossword. Wayne loved racing in his favorite red Corvette at the Motor Sports Track in Pahrump. Wayne is survived by his wife, daughter, son, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Wayne was a smart, kind, honorable man and will be greatly missed. Private family funeral will be held.
