Xavier Gonzales was born on May 3, 1954 in Upland, California to parents Arthur and Katie Escamilla.
He has two sisters Marla and Lydia and a brother Fabian. After graduating from High School in Newbury Park, California, he went on to receive a B.A. in Political Science from U.C.L.A., then a Juris Doctorate in Law from The University of Utah. After being recruited by the U.S. District Attorney's office as a Public Defender in Las Vegas, Nevada, he went on to own and operate his own successful and thriving solo practice in criminal defense, specializing in immigration in the Las Vegas Valley for the next 40 years. He spent his free time as an avid football and basketball fan, rooting on the Running Rebels and Los Angeles Lakers, and most recently a season ticket holder with the Las Vegas Raiders. He was as relentless in the gym as he was in the courtroom, building a network of friends at the same former Gold's Gym location for over twenty years. He loved dogs, especially beagles. He thought they represented a loyalty that he admired in others. He is survived by his wife Sandra, his sons Xavier Jr and Alex, and Mike, their wives Nicole, Kinsey and Shauna and his daughter Ashley, his grandchildren, Aiden, Grayson, Macey, Cruz, Emmitt, Aubrey, Atticus and Mary, Mikey Jr, Kellen and Ava, his nephews Meshak, Joshua, Jeremiah and his niece Rachel.
