Mrs. Doris Thurmond was born in Winder GA on 11-5-1929. She lived her entire life in Georgia. She moved with Her Beloved late husband Mr. Richard Thurmond to Norcross GA in 1960. For more than 50 years she lived and raised her family there all while attending Mt. Tabor Baptist Church in Norcross for nearly all of that time.
She is survived by 3 her children Ricky, David, Judy and Her Daughter in-law Stephanie. She was also survived by her Grandchildren Dustin, Jeremy, Zachary, Megan and her Granddaughter in-law Erica. Lastly her Great Grand Children Joshua, Autumn and Isabella.
Mrs. Thurmond will be remembered as a sweet, caring, forgiving and God fearing woman who loved her family and Jesus more than anything. Whoever had the pleasure to meet Doris would always say how kind she was and how much they loved being around her. She always spoke of the importance of giving your life to christ and trying to live your life the most biblical way possible. Mrs. Thurmonds favorite Bible verse where Psalm 23 and Isaiah 41:10.
Lastly Doris would want us to remember her for all the joy she brought us and not burden our hearts with sadness, because now she is with the Lord.
