

Milton Howard Osborn (Oz) was born August 6, 1932 in Vineland, New Jersey to Milton Howard Osborn and Dorothy Thompson Osborn. He spent his childhood in Erlton, New Jersey where he attended Erlton Elementary School and Haddonfield Memorial High School. He graduated from Lehigh University in 1954 with B.S. degrees in Industrial Engineering and Business Administration. He received an M.B.A from Syracuse University in 1964.
Oz's career included employment with the Curtis Publishing Co. in Philadelphia, PA where he was a time study engineer, and with the Hanson-Van Winkle-Munning Co, in Matawan, New Jersey where he was a Production Control manager. In 1957 he began a career of 34.5 years with General Motors Corporation: first in Syracuse, New York where he worked for 15 years in various personnel and labor relations assignments. In 1972, he was transferred to GM Central Office in Detroit, Michigan. There he worked in staff and managerial positions in the Employee Benefits Section of the Industrial Relations Staff where he participated in the administration, design, and negotiation of various employee benefit programs. He held positions of Manager Salaried Benefits, Director of International Benefits, and as a Director of Employee Benefits. He retired in 1991.
Following retirement, Oz and Dot moved to the Landings at Skidaway Island, a golfing community in Savannah, Georgia where they lived for 15 years. While in Savannah, Oz was very involved in barbershop harmony singing in three different quartets including the River Street Ramblers. He was president of the Savannah chapter in 1995 and 1996.
In 2006, Oz and Dot moved to Lanier Village Estates (LVE) in Gainesville, Georgia. At LVE, Oz joined the LVE Chorus. For several years he participated in "The Follies." He was active in the Residents Association, being a district representative, a member of several committees, committee chair of two committees, and vice president of the Association. In 2013 and 2014, he was President of the Association.
Oz is survived by his wife of 70 years (married 1955), Dorothy Louise Juditz Osborn, by two children Susan Carol of Savannah, Georgia and Dr. Janet Osborn of Orangevale, California: and four grandchildren, Jennifer Barry of Clawson, Michigan, Thomas Barry of Savannah, Georgia and Michael Osborn and Collin Osborn of Orangevale, California.
