Adam David Paterchak, Jr., age 71, of Longs, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026. Born on November 26, 1954, in Whitney, Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late Adam David Paterchak, Sr. and Evelyn Merva.
Adam is survived by his devoted wife of 25 years, Rose Marie; his children, Cassandra Lawrence, Rebecca Bojarski (Christopher), Sarah Bojarski (Joel), Adam David III (Colleen); step-children, Sabrina Sobota (Rob), Jason Bennion (Betty), Krystal Guyton (Chris), and Athea Lash (Justin); 23 grandchildren; 2 great‑grandchildren; sister-in-law, Debbie Paterchak; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, all of whom he loved deeply. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his siblings: Ernie, Barbie, Stephie, and Mike.
Adam was a proud Pittsburgh sports enthusiast and rarely missed a chance to cheer on his favorite teams. He loved being outdoors—golfing, fishing, and hunting. He also enjoyed darts and board games, especially when surrounded by his children. He appreciated life’s simple pleasures, including a nice, ice-cold beer at the end of a day’s work.
A skilled and dedicated carpenter, Adam was known for his craftsmanship, strong work ethic, and perfectionist’s touch. His legacy lives on not only in the projects he completed but in the values he instilled in those he loved.
A memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced. Lee Funeral Home and Crematory of Little River is serving the family.
