Daniel E Etchie

Daniel E. Etchie, 88, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2022. Born in Syracuse, NY, he was a son of the late Freeman and Eleanor Mosher Etchie. October 15, 1955, Daniel married the love of his life, Marian Frawley Etchie.

A proud US Veteran, Daniel served from 1952-1955 in the US Navy, during the Korean War. Following his tour in the US Navy, Daniel worked in the metal industry. A successful businessman, Daniel worked with Metal Resource Solutions before starting Etchie and Associates. He had a love of reading and history. He and Marian made Little River their home 15 years ago and he enjoyed fishing.

Surviving in addition to his wife Marian, are his son, Daniel M. Etchie; daughters, Sue A. Follansbee (Scott), Amy Duffin; grandchildren, Matthew Etchie, Dana Garretson, Stephanie Baurac, Meghan Duffin, John Duffin, Bryan Duffin, and Kyle Follansbee. He is also survived by his sister, Carol Salvagni. Daniel is preceded in death by a brother, Gene Etchie.

Services will be held at 3pm on Friday, 9Sep2022 at the battleship North Carolina, in Wilmington, NC.
