Daniel F. Ventura

Daniel Francis Ventura, 77, passed away peacefully at Grand Strand Hospital in Myrtle Beach on November 27, 2024. He was born and raised in the Bronx, NY. He earned his Bachelor’s of Science from Fordham College of Pharmacy and both Master’s and Ph.D. from New York Medical College. With his background in pharmacology, Dan oversaw drug development and clinical trials at international pharmaceutical companies for most of his career. Dan retired in 2010 and moved to Myrtle Beach in 2013 where he found his dream job as a starter on a golf course.

Dan was born on August 13, 1947, to Daniel and Margaret Ventura. He is survived by his wife and best friend, Yvonne Ventura, and loving children: Marlena Ventura, daughter, and Teresa and John Farley, daughter and son-in-law. Dan is also survived by his brother, John Ventura, and Mary Touhey and Cathy Ventura, sister-in-law; two nieces, Jessica Ventura and Maggie Anderson, one great niece Molly McKinney and two great nephews, Ryan and Josh Anderson. Dan’s most precious survivor is his granddaughter, Nola Farley, who loved him dearly.

The funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 13th at 11:00 am at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in North Myrtle Beach. Interment to follow at OLSS Columbarium immediately after Mass.
