Dorothy Eleanor Turman

Dorothy Eleanor “Miss Dot” Turman, 84, died Thursday, October 27, 2016 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Born on June 26, 1932 in Roanoke, VA, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Winston and Myrtle Rebecca Hogan Turner.

Mrs. Turman is survived by her children Bruce Turman and his wife Tenna, David Turman and his wife JoAnn, Kathy Counts and five grandchildren, Stephanie Carroll, Bruce Turman, Jr. Sarah Turman, Brooke Turman and Nicholas Turman. She is predeceased by her husband, Billy F. Turman.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm on Thursday, November 3 at Wampee Baptist Church. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at 11 am on Saturday, November 5 in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Roanoke, VA.
