Elizabeth Jane Lillis-McMorrow

Elizabeth Jane Lillis-McMorrow, age 76, of Little River, South Carolina passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, November 23, 2023. Born on February 23, 1947 in New York City, New York, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Miriam Lillis.

She is survived by her nieces, Christine Byrne (Joseph), Theresa Divine, Laura Shader; nephew, Robert Rider; along with numerous great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John “Tim” McMorrow and her sister, Barbara Rider.

A member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in North Myrtle Beach, Elizabeth moved to Carolina Coast from Staten Island, New York in 2001. She was an obstetrics registered nurse and she taught at St. Vincent’s School of Nursing in Staten Island. Elizabeth was a very involved member of the American Legion Post 186 in Little River where she held numerous titles. She always went above and beyond to support our veterans. Elizabeth was also an avid sports enthusiast. She enjoyed playing basketball, skiing and most importantly, playing golf. Elizabeth also loved crocheting and traveling. Quite the animal lover, Elizabeth bred and raised Golden Retrievers.

A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 4, 2023 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 1100 8th Ave N, North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582.
