Elna Adams Sarvis, affectionately known as Mama L, 88 , of Longs died at home on Friday, June 15, 2018, after a brief illness.
Born on February 13, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Lena Livingston Adams and H. B. Adams. She was predeceased by her husband, Sam Sarvis, and daughter-in-law, Gloria Adams. Elna was a hardworking and spunky individual. She was often busy in the yard filling her many bird and squirrel feeders and pruning her plants. Mama L had a green thumb and could turn the smallest clipping into a beautiful bouquet. She liked to keep the road “hot” driving well into her 80’s. Mama L enjoyed reading, shopping, a good pedicure, getting her hair done, sewing with friends, and eating at local restaurants. She also liked attending sporting events and Grandfriends’ day for her two special guys, Landon and Peyton. Mama L will be greatly missed!
Elna is survived by her son, Lendsey Adams of Longs; her daughter Donna Smith (Bill) of Myrtle Beach; four grand-daughters, Tammy and Nicole Adams of Longs, Angie Gilley (Mark) of Sumter, and Leigh Smith of Charleston; two great-grandsons, Landon and Peyton Gilley of Sumter, and special niece and nephews, Junior, Courtney, and TJ Adams.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM at Lee Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, June 18. Funeral services will be held immediately after the visitation at 2 PM with the Reverend Michael Stewart officiating. A private burial for the family will follow at the Livingston Family Cemetery.
Memorials can be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice at 8216 Devon Court, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572.
