Frank "Skip" W. Orr III

Skip was born on August 24, 1949, in Springfield, Massachusetts. Son of the late Barbara A. (Childs) and Frank W. Orr, Jr.

A visitation with the family will be held on Monday, January 9, 2023, at the Lee Funeral Home and Crematory, 11840 Highway 90, Little River SC from 5-7 p.m.

In addition to his wife, Skip is also survived by two sons: Captain Frank W. Orr, IV and partner Carole Moor, and Michael R. Orr and wife Melissa. Daughter, Courtney Martinez and husband Major Richard Martinez.

Four grandchildren; Alida Orr, Reese Orr, Sophia Martinez and June Martinez. A brother, Bill Orr (Nancy). A sister, Betsey Orr-Bennett, (Al).

Skip was a deeply caring person, a friend for life in both good times and bad. He was the “go to guy” in every neighborhood he lived in, helping with home repairs, fellowship, and an opportunity to hang out and socialize. He was a genuine prankster and made people laugh. He loved golfing, boating, and woodworking. He was an avid cyclist, often times riding 8-10 miles a day.
