George Wilton Phillips

He was born on August 5, 1939 in Lancaster, SC to the late George W. Phillips and Mary Ellen Rowell Phillips.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Smith Phillips.

He is survived by his son, Melvin Phillips, his daughter, Brandt (Ronnie) Broughton and three grandchildren, Caroline, Isabella and Cameron Broughton.

Mr. Phillips graduated from Buford High School in Lancaster, SC and attended Clemson University. He worked for his father's construction company, Phillips Construction, in Lancaster, SC. Later he worked as a commercial construction estimator in Monroe, NC. He drew house plans by hand for many friends throughout his career. An avid golfer, he enjoyed playing with his family and friends thoughout the Carolinas. He loved his Clemson Tigers more than anything and was a member of IPTAY for almost 50 years. He loved living in Little River and frequented his favorite lunch spots on a regular basis.

Burial will be private.
