Jamey Camacho

Jamey graduated from St. John’s University with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications. He went on to work as a Homeland Security Dept. TSA agent at LaGuardia Airport in New York. Jamey enjoyed watching movies, playing video games, and listening to music. He spent his spare time cheering on his favorite sports teams and traveling with his friends and family.

Survivors include his loving wife Jo-Anne Camacho; stepdaughter, Jillian Alcindor; sisters, Gladys Javier and Daisy Thorne; brother, Enriquez Javier; aunt, Lydia Ponce de Leon; nephews, Ariel James, David Velasquez, Christopher James, Michael Liboy, Richard Liboy, Esteban Liboy, Christian Javier and Enriquez Javier; nieces, Stephanie Poole, Francesca Liboy and Michelle Javier.

A visitation will be held from 2:00 – 3:30 pm on Saturday, October 28, 2023. With a prayer service to follow at 3:30 pm at Lee Funeral Home and Crematory.

As many of you know, Jamey, Jo-Anne and Jillian have always supported animal rescue groups by adopting, fostering, volunteering and donating. Jamey would be happy to know that, in his name, you continue this legacy. Therefore, in lieu of flowers (which are beautiful but expensive and temporary) we ask that you instead make a donation to the Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach. The mission of the NMB Humane Society is to find loving and permanent homes for abandoned animals; provide first rate veterinary care through their experienced, local veterinarians; offer low cost spay and neuter programs for dogs and cats, and reach out to children, teachers, and parents through the education of pet responsibility. Your donation can be made in Jamey’s name and is tax deductible.

The next screen asks for your contact information and under “Options” at the bottom, click on “Make This a Tribute Donation”. The next screen prompts you to enter “In Honor of” and you should type in “Jamey Camacho” and “Send an e-card”.
