Janie Baker

With heartfelt love and deep sadness our family announces the passing of Janie Bolick Baker on December 31, 2025. Janie was a devoted follower of Jesus whose life was marked by faith, kindness, and steadfast love for her family.

Janie loved the Lord with all her heart and lived her faith daily through prayer, service, and song. One of her greatest joys was singing in the church choir, lifting her voice in praise and worship. Her music, like her life, was full of warmth, joy, and devotion.

Janie was united in marriage to Wayne Baker, the love of her life, who proceeded her in death by only 52 short days. Their bond was so strong and enduring, and we rejoice in knowing they are now reunited in the presence of their savior.

Family was everything to Janie. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who never missed a chance to encourage, celebrate, or pray over those she loved. She is survived by her daughters Julie (Jamen) Smithey, Gretta Baker; grandchildren Ashlyn (Todie) Jorgancierski, Alec Smithey; and great grandchildren Haven Grayson and Everly Jorgancierski.

She leaves behind a legacy of gentle strength, unwavering faith, and unconditional love. All who knew her were blessed by her kindness, her smile, and her steady belief in Gods' goodness. Though she will be deeply missed, we find peace knowing she is with Jesus and reunited with Wayne.
