John David Barnhardt

John David Barnhardt, Sr., 83, died peacefully at home on November 24, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.

Born on June 11, 1937 in Mooresville, NC, he was the son of the late Ralph S. and Julie Freed Barnhardt.

Mr. Barnhardt is survived by his children, Billy Barnhardt, Barbara A. Nance, Barbara Linker, Doris Phillips, Betty Thomas, and Linda M. Barnhardt; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his wife Helen Deal Barnhardt and one son, John D. Barnhardt, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 in Lee Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 in Phaniels Baptist Church Cemetery, Rockwell, NC.

Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, wearing a face covering and social distancing will be required and greatly appreciated.
