September 3, 1959 - February 25, 2025

In 1977, Joyce met the love of her life and her soulmate, Joseph at Fass Brothers Seafood. They married in 1980 and were married for 44 years at the time of her passing.
Together, they had a son, Raymond in 1985. Joyce was a very involved parent, as she enjoyed being team mom for Ray’s sporting events growing up and also helping with various school/sport events.
She was also a loving mother/grandmother to her two step-sons Matthew and Patrick and all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family was always important to her and filled her heart with joy being around them any chance she got.
Joyce was employed at Intervet (now Merck) for 32 years and spent most of her time as a Quality Assurance (QA) Manager, a role that she held up until her retirement.
Throughout Joyce’s life, one of her passions was baking and creating new baking items. She would bake things just to make people happy. Everyone always enjoyed her baked goods and the memories they created. You could call her bonbons legendary even, and will live on in other’s cookbooks.
Another one of Joyce’s favorite pastimes was traveling. She traveled with her husband Joe all around the United States, including visiting the Grand Canyon, Colorado and Red Rock, Arizona, up and down the East Coast, as well as multiple cruises together including a European cruise. In recent years, they traveled together all over Ohio and up to Niagara Falls during trips to visit Ray and his wife Meg. She also enjoyed camping and camp hosting during the summers.
She had multiple pets through the years and always enjoyed having an animal around, and loved to give them belly rubs.
Her faith was very important to Joyce. She was a devout Catholic, but also attended Gumboro Wesleyan Church with Joe and was a Christian foremost. She demonstrated unwavering love for the Lord through her service to the church community.
Joyce was a kind soul, with a heart of gold, and her friendly demeanor and warm presence amongst family and friends will be greatly missed.
