July 17, 1963 - January 13, 2026
Reverend Kevin Leon Twine of Little River, South Carolina, answered the Master’s call at McLeod Health on January 13, 2026. Born on July 17, 1963, in Ahoskie, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Mr. Joseph Twine and the late Ms. Mary Louise Weaver. He received his formal education in the public schools of Hertford County.
Kevin was a devoted husband, loving father, faithful servant of God, and a steady source of strength to all who knew him. He was the beloved husband of Reverend Monica Griffen Twine and a proud father of six children: Kevin Desho’n Raynor, San Francisco, California; Comeisha Tyshawn Twine Paxville, South Carolina; Ameisha Keshawn Twine, Manning, SC; Amanda Janea Twine Foreman (Julius), Greenville, North Carolina; and Jada Griffen Twine and Janai Griffen Twine, both of the home. He was also the loving grandfather of four grandchildren: Kaylie Leoni Twine, Tyler Justin Beale, London Morgan Beale, and Alivia Paisley Foreman, all of Greenville, North Carolina.
Kevin was a licensed minister and served as a chaplain with McLeod Health, ministering with compassion, wisdom, and quiet humility. He loved chaplaincy, offering spiritual support and hope to patients and their families during some of life’s most difficult moments. He was a mentor, a trusted friend, and a man who sought to honor God through his works. He was a faithful member of North Strand Community Church, where he lived out his commitment to God, family, and service to others.
After a dedicated 40-year career, Kevin retired, having spent 20 years with Georgia Pacific as a foreman and 20 years in the automotive industry as a salesman.
Kevin was sharp, thoughtful, and deeply engaging. People often shared how much they loved talking with him. He had a genuine love for sports, especially basketball, which often served as a bridge for connection and friendship. Whether discussing a game or sharing his faith, Kevin had a way of making others laugh, feel better, and feel heard simply by spending time with them. His loving heart, caring spirit, and unwavering strength reflected a life of faith lived with integrity and love.
Kevin leaves to cherish his fond memories his siblings: Joseph (Corlissa) Twine Jr., Leesville, SC; Ricky Twine, Louisiana; Reginald Twine, Ahoskie, NC; Terrence (Janice) Twine, Manning, SC; Brent (Brittany) Harmon, Ahoskie, NC; Lamont (Tonya) Harmon, Greensboro, NC; Taneka (Manny) Mateo Kennesaw GA. He also leaves one special aunt, Frances Thompson, NC.
A Homegoing Celebration will be held Monday, January 19, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at North Strand Community Church, 201 Green Village Road, Little River, South Carolina 29566.
His legacy will continue through the lives he touched, the family he cherished, and the God he faithfully served.
Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Matthew 4:4
