

Larry D. Gunther, 79 of Little River, SC passed away peacefully on October 16, 2021 at home surrounded by his wife and daughter. He was born in Logan, West Virginia, son of the late Elbert Damon Gunther and Susie M. Gunther. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles and Willard Gunther, and sister Sherry Stollings. Survivors include wife, Judi, son M. Damon Gunther of Columbia, MD and daughter Aimee D. Shimizu of Bowie, MD and daughter-in-law, Susan Gunther and son-in-law Jesse Shimizu, his grandchildren, Aiden, Jenna and Addie Shimizu. Four sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law, numerous nieces and nephews.
Larry was a real people person, enjoyed helping others, and was known for his quick wit and sense of humor. His technical skills and strong work ethic were an asset to AT&T and to his fellow employees. He enjoyed being outdoors and participating in sports. He was proud of his military service and enjoyed traveling and meeting people.
