Louran Perry Bradshaw, 89, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at home surrounded by his family. Born on January 18, 1935, in Hamlet, NC, Perry was a son of the late Jacob B. and Gladys Mills Bradshaw.
Perry grew up in the Rockingham NC area with his brothers, Jerry and Leslie. His family moved to North Myrtle Beach and opened a fish market beside his future brides family stores. Iris and Perry married in 1958 and were married for 65 years.
Perry was a man of many talents. He owned his own shrimp boat, was an industrial equipment repairman that traveled the world with Cocker Industrial Machinery, was a captain of several pleasure yachts, and a shop keeper.
His true passion, however, was always flying. Perry owned many small planes over the years and piloted sail planes as well. He was a charter member of the Quiet Birdman, Myrtle Beach Hangar.
Surviving are his son, Steven Bradshaw (Kathleen); daughters, Sarah Lee (Hal), Sandra McLain (Jim); grandchildren, Lauren Roling (John), Genaveve Bradshaw, Brandon Lee (Lori), Lance Lee, Brandon Todd (Becky), Justin McLain (Jimena), Daniel McLain (Jessica); great-grandchildren, Bryson, Kendall, Brody, Michael, Grayson and Max. Perry was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Jerry Bradshaw and Leslie Raymond Bradshaw.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, June 28, 2024 at Lee Funeral Home and Crematory, 11840 Highway 90, Little River, SC 29566 with burial to follow in North Myrtle Beach Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested in Perry’s honor to the North Myrtle Beach Humane Society.
