Lucille Brostrom Johnson, formerly of Jamestown, NY, passed away on July 24, 2020 at the age of 97 at The Oaks on Post Road, Cumming, GA.
A Jamestown and Bemus Point resident for most of her life, she was born April 15, 1923 in Jamestown, NY, daughter of Albin and Alma Brostrom.
She was a graduate of Jamestown High School, former member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Jamestown; Charter member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church, Bemus Point; and member of Ocean Drive Presbyterian Church, North Myrtle Beach, SC.
Preceded in death by husband of 55 years, Merle W. Johnson; daughter, Darlene Johnson Earp; brother, Wyllys Brostrom; and sister, Jeanette Brostrom Johnson.
She is survived by her daughter, Dianne (Ronald) Miller of Cumming, GA; four grandsons, Craig (Beth) Miller, Brett (Karen) Earp, Gregory (Paula) Earp and Douglas (Tracy) Miller; nine great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
She and Merle live on Chautauqua Lake at Shore Acres on the bay in Bemus Point, NY, saying these were the happiest days of her life. They retired to Myrtle Beach and resided there for 30 years. At the age of 95, and in good health, she moved to Cumming, GA to be near her daughter and family.
Graveside services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at North Myrtle Beach Memorial Gardens, Little River, SC.
